Niphean Classic All-Round 11' Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board

This was the worst experience I've had buying anything online. There are several oddities with the company that stand out right off of the bat that read to me like a scam. To be honest, I still don't know if it's a scam or just a new company figuring things out since it looks like they were founded possibly in 2025.

Right off the bat, Niphean seems like a legit business. Great website and mostly great reviews. Right after buying, though, you realize that Paypal is the only method of purchasing which is odd given this seems like a big company and they claim there are other methods. After finishing the purchase though, I realized that the recipient is addressed as "青岛后浪淘沙信息科技有限公司." More odd, but hey, they're pretty open about being based in Hong Kong, so I gave the benefit of the doubt.

When you translate that to english though you get "Qingdao Houlangtaosha Information Technology Co," which is supposedly a large Chinese company that is alleged to have several scamming operations through shell companies. I couldn't find anything showing that Niphean is owned by these guys, but then why would this name be in the Paypal info?

I then waited for almost 2 weeks to get my package (despite their claim of 3-5 day shipping), and then got an email from their support team. (They also have 2 emails: one is [****], one is [****]. Both emails are posted in their website in different places, but still reads as fishy.)

THE IMPORTANT PART: The first email stated that my order was flagged as a "medium risk" that "to verify your order, please kindly provide the following: A clear photo of your government-issued ID or driver’s license (front side only)" and "a photo of the credit card used for the order (both front and back)" with the CVV covered.

After I told them there was no way that I'd give them that information and that I requested a refund, they told me this was "standard procedure" and not to worry because it was all "encrypted" and "confidential..." on Gmail of all places...

After a few more back and forth emails, and me asking a total of 3 separate times for a refund, they agreed. I was shocked they didn't just run with the money, but it might have also been because I reminded them that requiring pictures of customers' credit cards was a direct violation of the "Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard" (PCI DSS) regulations.

Now I can't say if they will actually stop asking for this personal information in the future, but they responded like they were unaware these laws existed saying "You're absolutely right to raise concerns about PCI DSS compliance, and we’ll be reviewing and improving our procedures to ensure better security and transparency moving forward."

Now I was actually pretty surprised that they conducted themselves so professionally over email, as it definitely didn't feel like a scam talking with them... But then I got curious and pasted their emails into an AI detection bot and sure enough... 100% AI detected. Which isn't condemning of being a scam necessarily, but just makes me wonder what actually is real about this company.

Now I never actually got the board so I can't say if the boards are worth it or not, but if you still decide to buy one, my recommendation is buying it through Amazon instead (if at all). The support team will just try to take advantage of you.

I am absolutely in love with this paddle board! The color (I got the Mint Grove style) is gorgeous and even more beautiful in person. The quality is top-notch — it feels stable, strong, and super fun to ride, even for a complete beginner like me.

When my board arrived, everything looked great… but I noticed the large center fin attachment was installed backwards at the factory. I was initially disappointed because we were on vacation and had planned to use the board with my kids. I reached out to Niphean customer service and WOW — within 24 hours they had arranged to send me a completely new board and kit! I was blown away by how kind, responsive, and fast they were.

Also, small bonus: I originally thought the pump gauge didn’t work, but turns out that was user error (whoops 😂). Once I figured it out, it pumped perfectly.

Overall, the board is beautiful, well-made, and totally worth the money — especially backed by the awesome support from Niphean. I highly recommend this brand and will be buying more accessories for sure!

I've had this board for over a year now and still love it! It's held up and looks just as good as it did on day 1.
Perfect for solo paddling or when my kids jump on board with me. Handles like a dream.
It would be worth getting the upgrades that comes with the extra paddle head and seat.

Having the 4th middle fin was great for stability as a beginner or rougher water later on. I leave it out now as I like being able to take sharper corners or maneuver in tighter spaces.

Pump: get an electric pump.

Bag: flimsy material. Spacious to hold all the gear plus what I add (electric pump, drybag, sunblocks, shoes etc.) and It's held up for the year with only minor tares. But plan on replacing it before too long.

Would purchase again.

This inflatable standup paddle board came from Niphean and was priced at $270 when ordered. We have three inflatable SUPs at this point and this one is the nicest. The 3 fin design at the back and huge size makes this board very stable. You can also add a fourth extra long middle fin if you would like even more stability (but it drags in the shallows).

The construction is really thick vinyl and the bonding job for the seams looks solid. The quality is impressive all around and this board feels like it is fully loaded. It has extra everything from fins, to tie down points, handles and a drink holder.

The air valve is easy to use with a half turn cam attachment and lockable center pin. Deflating the board was very easy due to the locking pin, just lock it down and start folding to squeeze the air out. Deflating is much easier than inflating the board. The pump works as intended and will fill the board, but it's unimpressive overall. I strongly suggest using a small electric pump to fill the board to 1 or 2 psi before attempting to use the hand pump to top it off. The pump does have a rather useful gauge for setting the psi correctly, but it can take a long time. 7 psi was fine for light riders, but the full 10-12 is recommended for heavier passengers.

The paddle worked well and extended from 65' to 110'. Also included was a pair of vinyl patches, a waterproof holder for a phone (that you can still use the touch screen through) and a bag just big enough to hold everything.

Overall this board is great. It is very stable, beginner friendly, and large at 11 ft long and 33 inches wide. I should also mention the graphics on the board look well done and with all the bells and whistles, it just feels a bit nicer than a lot of other boards.

Honestly I didnot even know where or how to write this review because I have never wrote one on Amazon but this board is was worth figuring out.
ANYWAY THE BOARD. I have been out on this thing 4 separate times and have loved it every time. We have been to the lake and jumping off of it, paddling around with two 200 LBS people a dog, And most recently went down lower Ocoee river (4 hour paddle) as soon as I got in the water the current took me and I hit a concrete pillar straight on, the board did not budge crinkle nor loose air, a little further down my board got stuck on a large tree branch and again no puncture or loss. This thing is durable and comes with everything you to get started. I do recommend an electric pump because your arms will feel the burn after pumping to 15 PSI
